Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026 and the 150th centenary celebration of National Song Vande Matram- Phase III were launched today across Jammu region. The campaign, set to feature a mosaic of patriotic, cultural and sports activities, would continue till August 17, 2026.
At Doda: The district-level inauguration of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026 and the Commemoration of 150 Years of the National Song “Vande Mataram” (Phase-III) was held at the DC Office Complex.
The programme commenced with the singing of the National Song and National Anthem, followed by the formal launch of the campaign aimed to promote patriotism and national unity, while celebrating the spirit of the Tiranga and the legacy of Vande Mataram.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal, appealed people to participate actively in the campaign and celebrate it with a patriotic spirit.
A Tiranga Rally was also taken out from the DC Office Complex to Government Higher Secondary School Boys. Officers, officials, students and other participants marched carrying the National Flag and raising patriotic slogans.
Meanwhile, a massive Tiranga Rally was taken out from Dak Bunglow Bhaderwah under the supervision of ADC Sunil Kumar Bhutyal. The rally saw enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets (boys and girls), government officials and civil society members, besides students of various government and private schools in the region.
The rally passed through the Old Bus Stand and concluded at Seri Bazar.
At Kathua: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma inaugurated the district-level ‘Har Ghar Tiranga–Vande Mataram’ campaign at Auditorium Hall, GMC, marking the commencement of the twin campaign being observed from August 9 to 17.
Students delivered speeches on the historical evolution of Vande Mataram, the National Flag Code and the National Anthem, highlighting their role in fostering national unity and identity.
The DC said Vande Mataram remains deeply associated with India’s freedom struggle and continues to inspire patriotism and national awakening. “The commemoration of its 150th anniversary provides an opportunity to recall the sacrifices and ideals that shaped the nation’s journey to freedom” he added. The programme concluded with mass recitation of ‘Vande Mataram’ and the National Anthem, followed by an appeal to the people to uphold the dignity of the National Flag and remember with gratitude the sacrifices made for India’s freedom.
At Ramban: the District Administration Ramban, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, today launched the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign with a series of patriotic activities aimed at fostering a sense of national pride, unity and collective participation among citizens.
An attractive event was organised at Government Model Higher Secondary School, where Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak presided over the launching ceremony.
As part of the inaugural day activities, students and participants took Selfie with Tiranga and participated in singing of Vande Mataram.
A short film, highlighting the significance of the National Flag and the spirit behind the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, was also screened on the occasion.
At Poonch: To commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram and under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the district administration Poonch today organised a series of patriotic, cultural and sports activities across the district, covering all Sub-Divisions and Tehsils.
The first day of the week-long campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from the government officials, students, youth, transporters and the general public. A variety of activities, including sports events, Tiranga rallies, mass singing of Vande Mataram and other patriotic programmes were organised at different locations across the district.
The Revenue Department, Gujjar & Bakerwal community, Pahari Hostel, Motor Vehicle Department along with transporters, Municipal Council and other departments actively participated in the celebrations.
The activities were aimed at fostering patriotism, national unity and a spirit of collective participation, while paying tribute to the sacrifices and contributions of the freedom fighters who played a pivotal role in India's freedom struggle.
At Udhampur: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa, a series of activities were organised by the government departments and educational institutions across Udhampur district under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the Commemoration of 150 Years of Vande Mataram.
MVD Udhampur organised a patriotic event at the Bus Stand, Auto Stand and Mini Bus Stand across the city.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the Bus union, Auto union along with drivers and conductors, who warmly welcomed the initiative and joined the campaign with great patriotic spirit.
The participants expressed their wholehearted support to the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting the values of national unity, patriotism and pride in the Tricolour.
